Guy Burry, BA. ICD.D - Chair & CEO
Guy Burry, TPTC Chair and Chief Executive Officer, brings an in-depth knowledge and board level experience within the financial services, software development, manufacturing, and environmentally compatible technology sectors. He is also an experienced corporate director and senior strategist. Guy’s professional experience includes several executive positions in financial services and information technology. In the 1980s, Guy championed securities systems automation as a Manager at Royal Trust in Toronto. Beginning in 1989, he became Vice President, Investment Products with Footprint Software where he grew the global financial services division from annual revenues of $100,000 to over $4 million by the time it was acquired by IBM in 1995. Guy went on to apply his extensive systems background as Chief Information Officer with SEI Financial Services and other businesses. He co-founded Tenth Power Inc. in 2002. Guy was in the first graduating class of the Institute of Corporate Directors Governance College at the Rotman School, attaining his ICD.D designation in 2004. Burry serves on several boards, including Knightsbridge Human Capital Solutions (Chair of Audit Committee); York University Board of Governors (Executive Committee member, Chair of Investment Committee, member of Finance and Audit Committee, Trustee of the Pension Fund and Chair of the Pension Fund Investment Committee); Chair of the York University Alumni Association; Vice Chair of the Toronto Atmospheric Fund and Chair of the Finance Committee; Royal St. George’s College Foundation Chair and Co-Chair of the Capital Campaign; and Advancing Canadian Entrepreneurship. He served for many years as a director of both Muskoka Algonquin Healthcare and Toronto East General Hospital Foundation.
Dennis F. Bernhard - Lead Director
Mr Bernhard has 24 years of experience in the financial services industry where he has been a senior executive with Merrill Lynch, Morgan Stanley and Deutsche Bank with postings in London, Tokyo, New York, Paris and Toronto. Since 2001, Mr. Bernhard has been involved in investing and advising a number of established and start-up companies in operations efficiency and finance. Areas of interest include manufacturing, mining and metal processing, waste clean-up, gas treating, software solutions and networks. Mr. Bernhard acts as an advisor to BioTeq Environmental Technologies Inc. and was Chairman of Cansolv Technologies Inc. Mr. Bernhard was acting CEO of Tenth Power Technologies Inc. prior to its acquisition by Tenth Power Technologies Corp. in 2007.
John Whincup, P.Eng. MBA
Mr. Whincup is a seasoned professional with a broad range of experience in the manufacturing and technology industries. He is a Professional Engineer and has an MBA from the University of Toronto. He currently owns and operates a consulting firm that specializes in strategic planning and implementation. With his past experience as president of international companies, Mr. Whincup brings to Tenth Power the ability to integrate acquisitions and form strategic alliances that benefit the Company.
Brian Sullivan
Mr Sullivan is an experienced IT executive having spent 25 years in both the domestic and international markets. Specializing in the payment and transaction related verticals, Mr Sullivan was the past President and CEO of NCR Canada and more recently President of Optimal Services Canada. As an industry consultant today his knowledge and industry contacts are valuable assets for the 10th Power organization as we look to increase our customer base while identifying key partners needed to achieve cross market success.
